When you decide to book Superior Shores Estate, please complete the Reservations Request Form on the website. Once we receive your Reservations Request we will confirm your reservations and ask you to make a deposit. You may make the deposit either by credit card on-line, deposit a check directly into our Wells Fargo Bank account, or mail a check so that we receive it within seven days of confirmation. If we do not receive your deposit within 7 days your reservation may be subject to cancellation. If the date of confirmation is less than six weeks from the scheduled arrival date, you must either use your credit card, make a deposit to our Wells Fargo Bank account or send a casher's check or money order via overnight delivery guaranteed within two business days to confirm the reservation.

You will receive a 5% DISCOUNT on your total booking if you book for two or more consecutive weeks.

We require that your reservation be paid in full at least 90 days before your scheduled arrival date. You may use your credit card to pay for your booking on-line OR you may make a deposit into our Wells Fargo Bank account OR send a cashier's check directly to us. If a payment is not received by the required date, we will attempt to contact you, BUT it is your responsibility to ensure that payment is made in a timely manner or your reservation may be subject to cancellation.

We understand that sometimes your plans must change. If for some reason you must cancel after your booking has been confirmed, the following refund schedule will apply:

  • More than 90 days before arrival date: FULL Refund
  • 46 to 90 days before arrival date: 50% Refund
  • 45 days or less before arrival date: No Refund
  • Early departure: No Refund

If you cancel and incur a cancellation penalty and if your reserved period is rebooked during that time, you will receive a full refund less 20% of the total. Except in the case of a NO SHOW, early departure or non-payment of rental, any deposit that is retained, will be applicable to a future booking during the next 12 months.

The amount of the reservation/security deposit will depend upon whether you have reserved the Estate or one of the individual residences. Deposits range from $500 to $1,250 depending on your reservation.

If you rent Superior Shores Estate as a package, both the Main and
Carriage Houses, the security deposit is $1,250. If you book either
the Main House OR the Carriage House separately, the deposits are
$1,000 and $500 respectively. Under certain circumstances, guests may
be asked to leave an additional security deposit or cleaning fee.

Winter guests may be interviewed or asked to provide references and
leave a supplemental winter deposit of $500 for the Estate and/or Main
House or $250 for the Carriage House.

A nonrefundable cleaning fee is due either by cash or credit card with
your rental payment. The Carriage House cleaning fee is $100, summer,
and $150, winter and the Main House cleaning fee is $200, summer, and
$300, winter. The full Estate cleaning fee is $250, summer, and $400,
winter.

When you check in you will be shown your residence. You'll be asked to sign an agreement with an inventory that all is in working order unless noted. When you check out, we'll review and sign the release that everything is OK. At that point, if you have stayed within the terms of the rental agreement, you'll receive your deposit either as a credit to your card or a check will be mailed to you within two weeks. Your deposit will be returned by the same method as originally paid.

The Short Term Lodging Agreement (pdf) is an integral part of this booking and contains additional Terms & Conditions governing this vacation rental. PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY by clicking on the YES box on the Reservation Page you are indicating that you have read and agree to the terms of the Short Term Lodging Agreement. You may also be asked to sign a paper copy prior to occupying the property.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

  • Personal checks are not accepted, unless received more than 4 weeks before full payment is due
  • Superior Shores Estate is a NONSMOKING property
  • Superior Shores Estate does not allow pets of any kind without written authorization
  • Guests under 25 years old may not occupy either house without the Responsible Party in residence
  • · During winter months, couples only please… no stag groups.
  • Michigan Sales Tax (6%) is not included.
  • WITHOUT APPROVAL, normal check-in is 4 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m.

  • Fully equipped kitchen; dishes, flatware, cooking utensils
  • Toaster, coffee maker
  • Paper goods, i.e. toilet paper, paper towels*
  • Outdoor furniture and table for deck
  • Gas Grill
